Coming this spring from Canon is the new Canon EOS-1D Mark III. Hmm…wonder what kind of $$ I’ll need to snag that one. Canon hasn’t released pricing yet, but I assume it’ll be close to the current line of 1Ds. Here’s a picture of the cam. If you want to see more, you can check [...]
While I had absolutely nothing to do with it, I just wanted to tell everyone that the great Jessica Claire has a brand, spanking new blog. The layout is absolutely gorgeous, which matches her photos perfectly, and I’m sure the content will be just as excellent as it always has been. Jessica is one of [...]
www.scottneumyerphotography.com | order prints I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I’ve been having with my new Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens. Ever since making the switch to a DSLR (from a film camera) the APS-sized sensor has made it difficult to get a nice truly wide angle. This lens is like heaven [...]
I had to get up early to drop off cardboard and a few other things at the recycling center, so I thought I might as well try out the new Tokina 12-24mm f/4. I think I’m in love with it… www.scottneumyerphotography.com | order prints

Happy Birthday, Madison.
…in the bedroom. Isn’t that the way it always is? I miss her when she’s at work all day long.
This is an older image (taken on Thanksgiving) that was slightly out of focus and just generally soft. I’d never posted it, but after messing around with some totallyradactions, I think I like it. I’m not much into a lot of PS manipulation, but totallyradactions.com is making it incredibly fun.

Lots of toys come out and she makes a big, fun mess. This new 85/1.8 is so nice!
…why can’t I?
Yeah, that’s right. I got some new glass in the mail yesterday. B&H is so damn quick shipping to NJ. It only took 2 days (via USPS priority) for my brand new Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM to hit my doorstep. I shot a few quick photos with it yesterday, but haven’t processed or uploaded anything [...]
I’m pretty busy today as it’s Denise’s birthday, so I’ve got to get to the day job fairly early. So, that means I don’t have as much time to play around on the blog. Instead, here are a few of my more recent posted shots. A couple left over from post-processing the Xmas photos: That’s [...]
I’ll freely admit that I’ve never been a huge fan of Annie Leibovitz. I admire what she’s done with her career, for women in photography, and for photography in general. I’ve just never personally been a big fan of her work. I always found it a little too glam. Maybe a little to produced and [...]
As you can clearly see, the blog has moved to its new home. I thought it was finally time to get everything under its own hosted domain, so here it is…finally in the place where it should be. Now that the new year is here, I plan to update this thing much more regularly (e.g. [...]
My tribute to Powell & Pressburger. If you really like this shot, consider voting for its inclusion in Issue 9 of JPG Magazine. Thanks!
I haven’t posted in a very long time. Life got busy. I got married. Tons of other things were going on. Here, nevertheless, are some of the things I’ve been shooting recently. Regular blogging should resume very soon. Thanks for sticking around, everyone.
Just got finished scanning and editing some more negatives. Some color. Some B&W. Some portraits. Some landscapes. Blah blah blah… On with the show… Great Grandma decided to rock my sister’s shades. Those damn nightgowns make yet another appearance. Tracks. That’s about it. Just tracks. Little cousin Shawn. Not sure I dig the composition here, [...]
Damn! Prints look so friggen good when they’re matted and framed. I mean, this is really nothing new, but it just feels so friggen great to hold them in your hand, hang them on the wall, or give them out to friends. I love it. LOVE it.
I spent about 80 bucks on frames at A.C. Moore today so I plan on making a ton of new prints. Anybody want one? Check out all the pics at my flickr account, and email me if you want something. I’m feeling generous today…
I’m still working on scanning some of my new stuff, so I figured I’d post a few more shots from Labor Day weekend (and one older b&w). Enjoy. I can’t imagine seeing this photo in anything but color. Just seems so serene and quiet. I wish the light had been angling the opposite way, but [...]
